Big Time Spender

Big Time Spender is a reality game show in which contestants from different backgrounds compete to be the nation's smartest shopper. In a new city each week, the contestants' ability to spend wisely is tested with extreme shopping missions. This cross-country challenge climaxes when two remaining contestants go head-to-head to fulfill their dreams in a mega shopathon and claim the title of "Big Time Spender" before time runs out. Big Time Spender is the first ever Western-owned format to be produced and broadcast in mainland China. Broadcast on CETV, the first season was the highest rated show on the channel and instrumental in increasing the channel's share of voice 15th to 7th place. The show was additionally syndicated to 21 other networks throughout China.
