Masterchef

This unique cooking competition was the first show of its kind in 1990. Nineteen years later, the franchise is enjoying its greatest success in two decades, blossoming into a format that the Shine Group has adapted into several different series. At the core of these is the current "MasterChef" format, previously known as "MasterChef Goes Large." This stripped show is distinguished by its two permanent judges and its eight-week-long elimination period culminating in a new champion crowned at the end of each season. "MasterChef Australia" is one of the most successful shows in that country's history, as the finale was the highest rated non-sports Australian program of all time. Masterchef U.S. is scheduled to premiere Summer 2010.
