"The Family" lifts the lid on family dynamics to build a revealing and intimate portrait of life in modern Britain. "The Family" face many of the same parenting and money issues that people up and down Britain experience on a daily basis. The dilemmas they have to deal with and the decisions they make will be those that millions of people across the country will be able to relate to.

With cameras inserted into the home to give access to every aspect of the family's life and frank interviews, it will be the first time British family life in the 21st century has been the documented for television in such an extensive fashion.
